Kota Kinabalu Wedding Fair 2011 Performance

We were invited by the organizer of the event to perform at their KK Wedding Fair at Star City. The sound systems were great and we really enjoyed performing there. Thanks to all who came and support us during the event.

The band have been thinking of adding a foot cabasa into our setup for quite a while now but this thing was very hard to come by here in K.K. I got this one from a music store in K.L called DOREMI Sound & Lights Sdn Bhd in Chow Kit area. This one is well built and heavier than I thought. It really does add colours into our sound and we are very pleased to have it in the band. I recorded our very first practice with it and I was quite impressed on how quick our cajon player adapt with the foot cabasa. After a few minutes of adjustments we were ready to jam. Here is the recorded jam session with the new foot cabasa.

Funny Moment.

I guess even though we are more confident with the printed lyrics in front of us. Without even realizing it, we actually we know what is next in line due to extensive repetition during practice.

6ixband Performance @ Magellan Sutera Harbour.

These were taken during the band's performance on Brian & Nicole's Wedding reception at Sutera Harbour Kota Kinabalu. I think there were 60 tables and they fully utilized the ballroom space to the maximum. To cover such a big space, we have no option but to hire bigger sound system set up. I think 8 speakers were used that night. 4 mains, 2 subs and 2 stage monitors. This was the band 1st ever performance here and we were quite nervous but in the end everything was all good. We got really hungry half way through the performance and thanks to my wife for the food. Bugger King never tasted so good.

Parish Thanksgiving & Fellowship Nite 2010

The band performance at the Sacred Heart Hall for their thanksgiving on 2nd January 2011. Everything was okay but we only performed half of the song-list due to timing problem. We started late and the only thing that bothered us was the stage monitors. The tech guy couldn't get them to work during sound check. I don't know how but we pulled it off that night. Maybe there is such thing as a miracle ...
